What Is Bloomberg Connects?

Bloomberg Connects is a free mobile app that delivers digital guides for museums, galleries, sculpture parks, historic sites, and cultural organizations.

​

Bloomberg Philanthropies launched Bloomberg Connects in 2019. In six years, it has grown from fewer than 10 pilot sites to 1,250+ cultural institutions worldwide. That kind of growth doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because the model works.
 

It’s free for visitors.
It’s free for participating institutions.

And it’s designed to make cultural experiences more accessible, more flexible, and more engaging.
 

Each participating venue creates its own guide inside the app. These guides can include:

• Audio tours

• Audio descriptions of artwork

• Exhibition text

• Transcripts

• Captioned video

• Sign language content (in some cases) 

• Interactive maps

• Multiple languages
   

Visitors can explore a guide before they arrive, use it during their visit, and revisit it after they leave.
